So, the guys in Blink 182 have been at it for a while now. They got their start in the early 1990’s, and exploded onto the scene in 1997, with a string of juvenile songs about small things, age, and topics like poop. Yes, they were the smart ass brigade on MTV. They sold millions, had sold out tours, and drank and partied their way into the 2000’s, only to breakup and call it quits after years being on top. Fast forward to 2016, and they are back, albeit different.
Tom DeLong, the long time member of the band who helped brand them, is out, after years of feuding and drama that isn’t worth noting here. The two other members of Blink, Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker, and have decided to carry on, and they have added a new member to their arsenal. Enter Alkaline Trio singer Matt Skiba, who will now share vocal duties and play with Mark and Travis. The band has just released their new single, “Bored To Death”, and the reaction thus far is really positive. Core fans are calling it the best song they have done in quite some time, and they don’t seem to mind the loss of Delong from the lineup. The song is featured here, enjoy! What’s your thoughts?
