This Saturday marked the 25th anniversary of Green Day’s fourth album, Insomniac — October 10th, 1995.
In celebration of the release the band is releasing a double LP pressed on translucent orange vinyl with the cover art printed on prismatic silver foil. The LP includes live tracks from a legendary 1996 Prague show on the A-Side along with an etching on the B-Side.
You can order it now through the Warner Brothers store, but due to COVID-19 production delays, it won’t ship until early ’21.
Insomniac, the follow-up to 1994’s Dookie, peaked at number-two on the Billboard 200 chart and is certified double platinum. Four singles were released from the album, “Green Stink Breath”, “Stuck with Me”, “Brain Stew/Jaded” and “Walking Contradiction”.
