Grab your dogs and get ready to ROCK this weekend!
Woofstock 2018 is coming this Sunday, Sept. 23rd from 12-5 p.m. at Sommer Park off Koerner Road and will be the 5th year for this important event!
Woofstock is an outdoor concert, dogs are welcome of course, proceeds benefit SAMS Rescue, who we partner with for Rockin Paws. SAMS has been open for 4.5 years and has found loving homes for well over 1,000 pets! The offer a low-cost spay/neuter assistance program, receive no funding from city, county or state and rely heavily on fundraisers, like Woofstock, and donations. SAMS is also staffed almost entirely by volunteers.
Two local bands-Lee Hall and Scat Grub Band-will perform while you and your pup enjoy dozens of vendors, fun stations like a local celebrity dunk tank, food and drinks, games, demo’s, prizes, raffles, a 50/50 and a large silent auction.
Food and soft drinks will be available for purchase; but you are welcome to bring your own food and beverages as well. Beer and wine (in non-glass containers) are allowed; hard liquor is not.
Full entry (one adult and one dog) is $40 and includes a tie-dyed t-shirt and bandana. Additional guests are $20 and kids 12 and under are free. Shirts and other merchandise will be for sale at the event.
Online registration is available at samsrescue.org, or entry forms are available at most local vets and other pet-related businesses. Tickets can also be purchased at the shelter and you can call 565-4821 or email [email protected] with any questions.
