Looks like Twitter account @weezerafrica got her wish!

As told here last week, a 14 year old fan by the name of Mary created a Twitter account this past December in an effort to get Weezer to do a cover of the 1982 hit song “Africa” from the band Toto. Also, told here last week the band kinda replied with the cover of the other tune from Toto, “Rosanna”. (see that story here)

Today, Rivers Cuomo and company unveiled their cover of Africa and proved to the world that you can get almost anything these days if you don’t give up and just keep tweeting about it.
