X Peoria Rock Fans, The Black Keys are back with new music! Yes!

Grammy-winning rock duo The Black Keys will kick off the first leg of the “No Rain, No Flowers Tour” on May 23rd in Oklahoma and continue through over a dozen iconic venues including Red Rocks Amphitheatre and The Greek Theatre before returning to Europe in July.

The band—comprising Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney—marked the occasion with the release of a new song, the loose and groovy “The Night Before” out via Easy Eye Sound/Warner Records.

The pair wrote the tune with Grammy award winning songwriter Daniel Tashian. The resulting track is airy and elastic, with a sticky melody made all the more infectious by Auerbach’s soulful delivery and Carney’s crisp and funky beat.

“It’s so groove-based,” Auerbach says. “‘The Night Before’ started with a chord progression that Daniel and I came up with and the rest just fell out. It was really collaborative and all came together in about 30 minutes.”

The Black Keys are baaack. We need to get these Dudes in Peoria, Right?
