Jack Russell Of 80’s Rockers ‘Great White’ Dead At 63

Sad week, Peoria Rock Fans. Jack Russell, singer and founding member of the 1980’s Hard Rock outfit, Great White, has passed at the age of 63. Russell’s official Instagram account said the following: “With tremendous sadness, we announce the loss of our beloved Jack Patrick Russell – father, husband, cousin, uncle and friend.” Russell, who “passed peacefully, is loved and remembered for his sense of humor, exceptional zest for life, and unshakable contribution to rock and roll where his legacy will forever thrive,” the statement continued. 

Russell and the band ‘Great White’ had big success in 1989 with the song “Once Bitten, Twice Shy”, along with other notable songs. Sad day, indeed, Central Illinois Rock fans.
