ON THIS DATE IN 1968, IN SOUTH HAVEN, MICHIGAN; A BABY GIRL NAMED D’ARCY ELIZABETH WRETZKY WAS BORN TO A PIPEFITTER DAD AND WORKING MUSICIAN MOM, WHO ENCOURAGED HER DAUGHTER TO PERFORM MUSIC. D’ARCY PLAYED VIOLIN, OBOE AND PERFORMED IN CHOIRS IN HER FORMATIVE YEARS AND SAYS THAT SHE FULLY INTENDED TO HAVE A CAREER IN MUSIC SINCE SHE WAS 10 YEARS OLD. WRETZKY MOVED TO FRANCE AFTER HIGH SCHOOL TO JOIN A BAND BUT WAS SENT PACKING BACK TO THE U.S AS THE BAND SHE WAS JOINING HAD SPLIT-UP BEFORE SHE GOT THERE!
