David Bowie’s piano player, Mike Garson, is organizing a tribute on what would have been Bowie’s 73rd birthday,  January 8th, 2021.

A Bowie Celebration: Just for One Day! will feature appearances from some of our favorite rockers and musicians, Def Leppard’s Joe Elliott, Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails, Billy Corgan from Smashing Pumpkins, Bowie’s good friend and Oscar-winning actor Gary Oldman, Gavin Rossdale of Bush, Perry Farrell from Jane’s Addiction, Macy Gray, Ian Astbury of The Cult, Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale, Rolling Stones background singer Bernard Fowler, and Corey Glover from Living Colour, along with members of Bowie’s bands throughout the years including Earl Slick, Carlos Alomar, Omar Hakim, Gail Ann Dorsey and Charlie Sexton.

It will be livestreamed on January 8th at 9pm ET and will be available to watch for 24 hours to follow. Tickets are on sale at RollingLiveStudios.com/Bowie.

Bowie died two days after his 69th birthday — January 10th, 2021 — from cancer.
