Sevendust covered ‘The Day I Tried To Live’ from Soundgarden for a new single and it’s SOOOOOO GOOD!

I’ve been a little over it when it comes to cover songs lately, not that I don’t like them, I just feel like everyone is doing them (that’s just me don’t jump all over me) but the very second I herd Lajon Witherspoon sing the opening line, I had goose bumps. Perhaps it’s because Sevendust will always be a favorite. Maybe its because Lajon is one of my favorite front men. Or I love Chris Cornell. Whatever, it’s just sooooo good.

Lajon Witherspoon says, “When I first heard it, I thought the lyrics were timeless. The lyrics are about trying to experience new things and change the way you live, and we see examples of that every day with what is happening around the world. To have the chance to cover this song and release it is so special to all of us.”
