Well, 2018 is here, and we are off and running with exciting Rock news. Aside from huge shows on the way, Festivals, and new albums from our core bands, we also have this new nugget of information unleashed. Jonathan Davis, the founding singer, and leader of KORN, has announced his intentions to go solo in 2018. What? Yep, after twelve albums, with platinum sales, Grammy nods, and sold out tours, Jonathan is rolling out on his own, leaving KORN on hiatus for the time being. While Davis has stepped away from KORN prior to work on projects like “JDevil” and “Killbot”, this time around, it’s a full on solo project, with no intention of recording any new music with KORN in 2018 whatsoever.  Jonathan had this to say about his solo efforts this year, “I’m really excited. I’ve been working on these songs for 10 years and it’s turned out amazing. So there will be a record coming out. I just shot videos yesterday for a couple of songs.”

No word on whether or not this is the end for KORN, but it sounds like Jonathan wants to expand is efforts, and record an album that he wants total control of. We will have the new Jonathan Davis soon here on the X, and you can judge for yourself on his new solo sound. Stay tuned for more!
