Jeff Gutt is the new vocalist of Stone Temple Pilots. The 41 year old Michigan native has been in other bands in his 20 year music career, and he wowed the country and critics on ‘The Voice’ a few years back. His vocal abilities are stout, he was the guy who should have seen national popularity by now, but for whatever reason, he always missed his chance.  And then, his fortunes changed. His entry into Stone Temple Pilots was a happy mistake, as Jeff was introduced to Robert DeLeo in Detroit early in the year, when Robert was doing a show with Hollywood Vampires. “Talk about a happy accident”, said Robert. “It was clear right away that Jeff had the range to sing vocally challenged songs, like ‘Piece Of Pie’ and ‘Interstate Love Song.’ But we soon discovered that he has a great ear for melody and knew how to write a song.”
