James Hetfield of Metallica is a perfectionist on stage. He likes Metallica shows to stay focused, and on time. He likes his band mates to be on cue, along with him leading the show up front, as vocalist and rhythm guitar player. So, this past Monday night while in Amsterdam, you can imagine his frustration and anger when he accidentally fell into a “trap door” that was on stage, as stage hands were bringing equipment and percussion tables to the stage.

Yep, James fell about three feet, and thankfully, didn’t hurt himself. He popped right up, played his note, and sang the song at hand without missing a beat. However, he was outwardly irritated, and spoke to the crowd about the incident. “Is everybody OK?” James commented, “Yep, I’m okay. My ego, not so much. But we’re fine. Hurt my feelings a little bit.” I’m sure he would have rather unleashed a barrage of F-Bombs! Anyway, things happen, dude. It’s all good!
