Taylor Momsen of the Pretty Reckless is known for her Rock Goddess swagger, and passion. She is sultry, and full of venom on most of the music she has recorded with her band. As you know, the Pretty Reckless is here with us next Monday, May 15th, for our ‘One Night Stand’ at Expo Gardens, with the band ‘Them Evils’ opening the show.The band has just released their new album this past year, ‘Who You Selling For?’ This album is certainly more Bluesy and soulful. Today, on the Morning X, I debuted the new song, “Back To The River”, and it’s the best song on this album, my opinion, of course!
“Back To The River” is whiskey soaked Blues, with guest guitar work from Warren Haynes of Government Mule and The Allman Brothers on the song! How bad as is that? This new single reminds me of Janis Joplin, and that late 60’s Blues inspired Rock of San Francisco that Janis and the Dead were famous for.
