So, Jonathan Davis and the guys in KORN are turning some heads this week, as they have announced a new bass player for their South American tour. Apparently, their regular dude, bass player Fieldy Arvizu had something major come up in his personal life, and cannot make the South American trek. So, what does KORN do? They asked the 12 year old son of Metallica’s bass player, Robert Trujillo, to join the band! What? Yep, Tye Trujillo is joining KORN, and he is apparently somewhat of a prodigy, as he plays bass in his own band, the ‘Helmets’, and has the chops to join KORN. Wow, this is pretty bad ass.

A quote from KORN said the following, “We’re bummed that Fieldy can’t join us on the run, but excited to do a few gigs with a young player like Tye. We look forward to welcoming Fieldy back when we return to the States in May.” Another lesson for kids to learn music!

Music Matters, indeed!
