So, the guys in Metallica have been pretty busy the last few months. First, they have allegedly put the finishing touches on a new album for 2016. Second, they performed the night before the big ‘super game’ back in the first weekend of February. They have been active on social media, and making appearances. Yep, it looks like 2016 is going to be a good year for Metallica! Well, the band yesterday got some more good news. They have been tabbed the ‘2016 Record Store Ambassadors!’

Yep, the band announced this yesterday, and they are prepping a special release for the event. ‘Record Store Day’ is Saturday April 16th, a special day that lends support of independent record stores and record store culture that is getting more and more popular each year. This is the ninth year, so, it’s obviously catching on! Metallica plan on releasing two new live releases, including a 2003 ‘Live at the Le Bataclan’, in Paris. All proceeds will benefit the ‘Foundation de France’s “Give For France” charity.’ We will hopefully see the new single from Metallica very soon! Stay tuned to the Morning X for more details!
