An Amber Alert has been issued for the parental abduction of two small children.  The Peoria Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating Nyway Lois Abbaa, a black female, 19 years of age.  She is 5’9″ tall and weighs approximately 180 pounds.

She was last seen leaving the area of 700 SW Washington Street driving a Green 4dr vehicle, possibly a Taurus, no license plate information.   Abbaa was accompanied by King Peterson, a black male, 25 years of age, 6’0″ tall, weighing approximately 180 pounds.

Police say Abbaa abducted her two children:  Audermare Peterson, is a 2 month old black male, last seen wearing a blue “onesie” and wrapped in a white blanket with blue stars; Moriah Milan, is a 1 year old black female, last seen wearing a green shirt, blue jeans, purple and pink Rebok shoes and a green coat.

The Peoria Police Department urges anyone who knows the whereabouts of the suspects and/or the children to contact the Peoria Police Department at 673-4521 or Crime Stoppers at 673-9000.

When it comes to sports, “This girl is a die hard Cardinal fan, and have been for 21 years! Although I love all sports, the red birds truly have my heart and more often than not, Cards can always come out on top with a win. World Series Champs 2011 =)  However, you may catch me watching the Bulls, Bears, and on Friday nights growing up I was always at the Civic Center watching the Rivermen. What makes this Peoria native feel sexy?  “A great pair of high heels..lol..but also off the shoulder shirts…those are sexxxxxaaayyy!!”

This is definitely one of the hotties you look for at Cubs games too. “I am a baseball girl..i grew up on baseball…i look forward to watching the cubbies (yes cubbies) and hoping that this year is their year for the world series!!”

When it comes to love, she is a hopeless romantic who loves a man that is LOYAL, has a sense of humor, is responsible, and overall knows how to treat his woman!!

She wouldn’t be an Xer if she didn’t rock.  “Five Finger Death Punch is my absolute fave right now.  But I also love pop evil, stone sour, nirvana, incubus, papa roach and many many others”  At Nutcracker this year, she sure seemed to have a crush on Leigh from Pop Evil.

This Cubs fan has always had a passion for modeling, but started to get serious in ’09, adding, “I love that you can transform and be whoever/whatever you want to be. It’s a great way of expressing your art and emotions.”

So what does this bombshell look for in a man?  “Honesty and Loyalty. Without trust you have nothing. Turn offs would definitely be cockiness. I can’t stand cocky people.. And a turn on would be that he smells good.. And abs. ”

We realized her best quality is that she is a rocker!  “I love Hinder.. Three days grace.. Staind.. Breaking Benjamin.. Trapt.. Skillet.. 3 doors down.. Incubus.. Nickelback (the band you hate to love) haha.”

The brand new rock and roll spot in Farmington is Off The Record and I was happy to come out and kick off their grand opening this weekend. I came loaded with a TON of free swag and ready to party. Off The Record delivered a GREAT time with some awesome drink specials, cheap shots (the pudding shots were seriously THE SHIZZZ), the food was de-lish and the atmosphere was just what a rocker would want. Thanks for a great time Off The Record, can’t wait to party with you again!

I had a blast in Springfield today for the Lincoln Presidential Half Marathon. It wasn’t an easy course but it was definitely fun. As a bonus I got a PR (Personal Record) and finished the 13.1 mile run in 1 hour and 56 minutes, my last (healthy) half was done in 1:58 so I’m very happy and looking forward to running my first full marathon on April 28th in Champaign. In case you haven’t been following Marris bet me that he would have a better NCAA bracket, he didn’t. In fact my championship team is still in it, GO KENTUCKY! I unfortunately am not the winner of the company wide bracket challenge but it doesn’t matter because I won in the end!

The polls are closed and you the people have spoken, you wanted to see Marris wearing  my running tights, sport bra and tank top!

FYI-Marris cheated, he put some shorts on over my running tights, but I didn’t really want to see what the hot chocolate was packing (and neither did you).

I’m at the point in training now where training consumes my life. I’m just shocked at how time consuming it has been to train and the planning that goes into it. What do I mean on “planning”? Well, I have to to plan routes, routes with places where I can stop to hydrate/GU/bathroom if needed. I also need to plan proper nutrition prior to the run and for the run, along with proper rest periods before/after my long runs and even on my Tuesday runs as those are now into double digit numbers. Then there is the time, today I spent nearly and hour and half just running. On the weekend when I do my long run that takes 3 hours or longer. I work two jobs; here at the radio station and at the Riverplex teaching group fitness class. Between the training and jobs I’m often finding myself saying no to things and I’m having to say no A LOT! Because if I don’t then I’m losing one of the elements that make these runs, run smoothly. It’s exhausting to say the least.

This past weekend I hit a distance PR (Personal Record) of 18 miles and shockingly it wasn’t very hard. I know you must think I’m nuts, running 18 miles not hard? No really it wasn’t as bad as I expected and it’s because of my planning. I had a great carb load the day prior, I add a nice whole grain carb and protien at each meal; breakfast, lunch, dinner and two small snacks. I got adequate  amount of sleep the night prior, choosing to stay in Friday night and going to bed early. Then on the route I planned stops about every 5 miles to hydrate with either water or Gatorade and to also consume a GU. The ONLY challenging part of the run was the last few miles as the hills proved to be a little bit steeper and longer than I had anticipated.

Are you as exhausted reading that as I was typing it? The one good thing about all of this is I am now confident that I can and will run this full marathon with out a problem, I no longer am afraid of my 20 mile run this weekend and instead I’m looking forward to owning it.

Being the owner of a rescue, I can assure you it’s the greatest thing in the world. Pippin is my adoptee and he’s such a good boy. Plus his love and faithfulness towards me lets me know that adoption is the ONLY way to go when it comes to getting a furry friend.
