It was a rough game from the start. Within the first 5 minutes there were 2 different fights! Sadly at the end of the first period the Rivermen were down by 2. Things did not look good at that point. This did not stop them from making a great comeback run to tie the game with seconds left in the 3rd period. In fact they never had a lead in this game, but made it to the shootout to pick up the win in spectacular fashion.

Back in the day, one of the biggest staples of the mall and movie theater arcades was the face smashing, button masher ‘Wrestlefest.’  Now it’s back on the iPhone and the iPad.

THQ has revived the classic square circle pixel-fest that not only includes some of the biggest and brightest names from World Wrestling Entertainment’s not-so-humble beginnings but also their newest superstars. It includes 30 current and former WWE superstars like John Cena, The Rock, Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts and ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage.

The app also offers several modes of beating your opponent’s face into the mat including a one-on-one throw-down, tag team matches, steel cage showdowns and even a Royal Rumble free-for-all. Players can also set their matches in one of four unique arenas including the Raw, SmackDown, WrestleMania and ‘Saturday Night’s Main Event’ settings.

Right now, it’s only available on Apple’s App Store but THQ has plans to expand the franchise to the XBox Live Arcade, the PlayStation Network, the Android Market and the home PC sometime later year. Future updates will also include additional playable characters including CM Punk, Triple H, Shawn Michaels and Big Boss Man.

Frankly, we would rather be able to play with the WWE Divas.

Metal band Motohead is telling their fan’s to not purchase their new box set, priced at over $600, they are saying it’s just to expensive. The band has said they have

“No control over what’s done with these early songs, and don’t want fans to think that the band is involved in putting out such a costly box set.”

The set includes the eight early albums, from the self-titled debut to “No Remorse” along with the bands early singles, posters and a photo book.

The band does have a new album and DVD out and is rumored to be the special guest on the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival. The official announcement is expected next week on March 5th.

Boob Tube? A Best Buy in Greenville, South Carolina fell victim to hackers who posted pornographic photos on in-store smart TV displays using the electronics store’s own WiFi.

Gloria Berg, who saw the images of a man and woman while shopping with her son and his children, filed a complaint with local police.  ”I have never watched pornography,” claimed the woman, ”so I don’t know what else you can see there, but to me, I really felt extremely violated.” You know who probably watched a ton of porn? Mr. Berg, judging from the statements by Mrs. Berg.

Best Buy issued an official statement, indicating this was not the first time.  ”Two individuals accessed our store’s wireless signal to broadcast inappropriate content on a smart television display.  In both cases, we worked immediately to disable the inappropriate content.  We greatly apologize for this unfortunate incident and we are working to ensure that it does not happen again.”

Best Buy. Where only the prices are doing the screwing.

I have done a lot of dumb things in my radio career, most of which you don’t realize.  For those of you that do, thank you for not saying anything.  After seeing this I can officially do no evil.The number one rule to running a successful radio show is very easy, DO NOT INTERRUPT THE MUSIC OR COMMERCIALS.  Everyone in the world is already not able to multitask well.  If you ask them to to listen to two things at the same time, you will get failure on one part.  When you add in pornographic noises, just throw it all out the window.

Yes this did happen, well at least maybe because there are two options here: someone was watching porn or having sex in the studio.  In both situations, you can get away with it, if done right.  First, don’t have mic on so we can hear all your awkward moans.  Second, don’t have your computers audio turned on, on the board, so everyone can hear you listening to goat porn.  Third, don’t do it in the studio.  Every office has the hidden space where you can get away with almost anything.

Some unlucky jock in the United Kingdom, let this happen.  Take a listen.  I you make it through the whole audio clip there is something wrong with you.

At about 4am this morning, a 4.0 magnitude earthquake shook up the midwest, that according to CNN, was felt in 13 states.  If you aren’t familiar with the New Madrid Seismic Zone, we here in Peoria are right in it’s backyard.  Are you prepared if it happens again?

I slept right through it.  Just like the last time there was an earthquake in central Illinois.  So, what should you do to stay safe in case of an earthquake?  Drop, Cover, and Hold On!

Immediately DROP to the ground where you are before the earthquake drops you!

• Indoors?  Drop, cover, and hold on. Drop to the floor, take cover under a sturdy desk or table, and hold on to it firmly.
• In bed?  Stay there.  Put a pillow over your face.
• Outdoors?  Move to a safe area where nothing can fall on you.
• In a vehicle?  Pull over to the side of the road and put your car in park.  DON’T park under an overpass.

Then take COVER under a sturdy desk or table!

• If there is no shelter nearby, only then should you get down near an interior wall (or next to low-lying furniture that won’t fall on you), and cover your head and neck with your arms and hands.
• Methods like standing in a doorway, running outside, and “triangle of life” method are considered dangerous and are not recommended

HOLD ON to something sturdy until the shaking stops.  Be prepared for aftershocks.

• Don’t run.  There may be aftershocks and broken glass on the ground that you don’t see.

Hard-rock powerhouse Rob Zombie will hit the road with thrash metal giants Megadeth for a co-headlining tour that kicks off in New Jersey this May and features two previously announced festival appearances.

Rob Zombie and Megadeth are joining forces for the first time ever for the limited engagement this spring. The dates will come on the heels of Megadeth’s current Gigantour — which also features Motorhead, Lacuna Coil, and Volbeat — and will mark Rob Zombie’s first tour since last summer’s ‘Hell on Earth’ tour with another thrash metal titan, Slayer.

Rob Zombie stage show, described in the press release as “an amped-up, non-stop barrage of sin, sex and Satan guaranteed to rip your face off,” may clash with Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine‘s Christian beliefs, but nonetheless it should be a headbanging extravaganza! The engagement currently has nine announced dates — two of which are their previously set festival performances at Rock on the Range and Rocklahoma — with more to be announced soon.

Megadeth are touring in support of their 13th studio album ‘TH1RT3EN,’ while Zombie is currently working on his witchcraft horror flick ‘Lords of Salem’ — which has a tentative 2012 release date — and plans to enter the studio to record the follow-up to 2010′s ‘Hellbilly Deluxe 2.’
